And now for something a little different...
This was my one (and only) attempt at building a radio controlled car. Built the frame and suspension entirely from scratch.
It ended up being much slower than I thought...which was OK, because I really ****ed at driving a RC car.

Here's what I initially cut up to make the body

Painted it to match, and displayed it with my old Sedan Delivery.

  20. Do you now where this photo was taken?

I recognize the Bannister roadster, I am wondering if the stock car in the background raced Peabody MA
    or Hudson NH

1932 3 Window Chopped Coupe in the C/Altered cl***...

    Hello,

During this time period, we saw a lot of altered coupes and sedans racing in their cl***es. Mostly, it was in the powerful A/Altered cl*** with large motors and go fast parts. Others with smaller motors in similar Altered coupes/sedans did well in the eliminations and record books.

But, in the smaller motor cl***es, there were still very compe***ive cl*** compe***ion races going on weekly. One of those was this red chopped 1932 3 window Ford Coupe. It was in the very compe***ive C/Altered cl***.

At first sight, I thought it was a street hot rod with the doors closed and sitting in its spot located in the Lion’s Dragstrip pits section. But, upon closer inspection, it was a Flathead Powered Altered Coupe.

    KID WITH A TRIPOD

My brother had just borrowed the movie camera for some other shots, as I was getting a closer look. It surprised me when the films were developed to see a teenage kid browsing around the Altered Coupe.

When all of the teenagers gathered at our house to see the last week’s drag racing films, they all laughed and made odd noises when the kid with the blue nylon jacket showed up inspecting the modified C/Altered Coupe in the pits… YRMV
