    Hello,
    upload_2026-5-27_3-57-18.png
This was the ***le of a photo spread I did for a magazine a long time ago. The yellow RPU was immaculate and was located in Santa Barbara at the time.
upload_2026-5-27_3-57-41.png Being an avid hot rodder,
Nic Macaluso was proud of his build.

My wife and I used this road trip for a longer vacation, being that, the photo shoot, was located in Santa Barbara. As always, the drive up the So Cal coastline was awesome. It was not a surf trip, as we had taken many drives like that to this coastline running up to Santa Barbara.

    upload_2026-5-27_4-1-58.png
We found a nice spot near a coastal lake, for a photo shoot and the yellow RPU stood out from the background.

It had a nice sounding SBC motor and on the empty location, it was a good rumble for those that like a little sound with builds.

I forgot which issue the color photo spread was featured, but those with old Street Rodder Magazines can find the exact issue with no problems. YRMV

It was comfortable sitting in the cab. As well as the detailing in the build features was immaculate.

One of the objects that stood out was the shiny Moon Aluminum Gas Tank in the finished bed of the RPU.
upload_2026-5-27_4-4-56.png It truly was “Trucking in Style…”

IMG_5177.jpeg IMG_5178.jpeg I have both sides of the model A(model T and a 32) this is my first A. I’m starting with a very nice but very Rotten 29 Murray bodied town sedan. Being I’m a trim carpenter by trade I’m going to turn it into a Phantom fordor Woodie. 1000005928.jpeg 1000005924.jpeg

the sight of what appears to be 18’s on the rear made me smile too.

It just goes to show, that an open bodied early A on A rails doesn’t need no fancy dropped axle, or ch***is kick-up to be a *****in’ hot rod!
