Hot Rods 35-6 ford closed car dash question

on these dashes do all the dash panels have the raised area at the waterfall? even if it didn't come with the moulding? thanks a million hot rust

 

Cabriolets don’t have the upper handle hole. Stationary windshield doesn’t crank out.

 

alchemy thanks for your info but i really want to know if all the dashes have the raised area at where the waterfall moulding would be? i know some didn;t come with a moulding and that area is raised but on ones with the mouldings are they raised also?

 

They all have the raised area.

 

IIRC, I had one that had a simple br*** ring around the crank hole instead of the waterfall. I ***ume it fit over the ridge.

 

All 35 and 36 cars have the same basic dash. They all have the raised part in the center for the waterfall, even if not equipped with one. The only real difference is the Cabriolet and Convertible Sedan, which did not have a hole for the windshield crank out, since their windshields were fixed. They still have a raised area in the center like the rest. The only ones that don't have that raised area are the open cars (Roadster/Phaeton) but their dashes are completely different than closed cars.

thanks guys i really appreciate it now to buy the dash, as i have a really nice 35 waterfall moulding. gonna retrofit the dash into a project. thanks again hot rust
