Got it a little bit farther along this evening. I am taking a vacation day Friday. I hope to have the dash harness ready to put back in Friday morning

  2. The new wiring is a great investment in a great ride. Whose kit did you use?

I ordered through Mid America Motorworks. It has all of the correct wire colors and plugs.

All the best to you installing the wiring. You're a big dude, I'm trying to imagine you crammed under the dash!

Is it basically a "plug n' play" harness, or do you have to terminate wires?

It is plug and play. image.jpg
I have all of the old dash harness out. I ordered new door switches and a new bulb set that will be here this week. Today I also had to take care of one of my German Shepherds. He has a wound that opens up from time to time. Now it’s meal prep time for the week.

    Quick question
I am trying to remember which side the lead off of the capacitor goes to. I believe it slides into the plug on the black and white side.
It doesn’t show up on my schematic.
But I might be overlooking it.

I recently wired a '65. I also ran into the condenser problem since the car had been dis***embled before I got to it. I can't remember just where I found it, but I was able to determine where to connect it . Maybe internet search. Also I can tell you about the "flashing" brake and headlight bulbs. They weren't included in the bulb package.

It's a little late for this advice, but next time, pull the seats out first!

Pretty much done inside the car except hooking up the steering column. Ethan is hooking up the wiper motor and ballast resistor. Then the dash harness is done. I’m going to get pizza and we are going to watch the fights. IMG_3904.jpeg IMG_3905.jpeg

We are leaving for Bowling Green in the morning. A good time will be had even though we will not have an old car with us this time.
