Tulsa route 66 cruise

So, the wife was telling me about this attempt at a world record in Tulsa on May 30, 2026. Looks like they are doing it in conjunction with the 100th anniversary of the Mother Road.

I was thinking of going, but then in typical Tulsa fashion, they are charging and the cruise appears to be about 4 miles, which is pretty lame.

Anyway, just thought you might be interested. I'm torn on it...

 

I heard that there is a bridge on RT 66 near Tulsa with speed bumps on it that sing a tune when a car is driven 35 mph

 

Yeah, I saw that in the news.

 

Drove over it twice and couldn’t understand the tune. Must be the bias ply tires…lol

 

And, yea, I am also undecided whether I want to mess with that many cars and people. Pretty sure they won’t miss me if I don’t make it. Was just through there last weekend, so does that count?

 

Sounds like those of us that didn’t go were way better off from things I have heard about the mess.

 

Yeah, I heard there were some mad folks that never got to drive it.

 

The Tulsa drive was very un organized mess, be glad you did not come to it

 

I don't if they were a part of this or not but an RV ran over 30 Woody wagon and killed the driver. So, stay safe out there on the roads in your antiques.
