Technical 40 Ford window seals

In the process of installing new window seals in my 40 Ford coupe, The windshield and the quarter window seals fit really snug prior to installation but the rear window seals appear to be about an inch and half to long. Is this normal? Thanks!

No, one from Steele and one from Drake.

 

The rear window seals that are too long sounds like a Carpenter product..
Drake rear seals always fit correctly..
I have used both & know what works.
Drake over Carpenter every time.
I should add, I have used Steele products but not for Ford.. Can't compare
products..

 

What 42merc said... I used all Drake seals on my '40, they all fit very well.

 

A company called precison seals. Used them on a 54 Chevy. Fit was perfect. Used on a tri five and fit was great.

 

sedan and coupe are different. maybe you have wrong ones? i am not sure what the difference is. just going by what it shows when you look it up
