Thanks for the tip. I know 90 percent of the cars and the locations, I wish I would have been able to do a voice over, similar to what Don Tuttle did for the Southern California footage. I was at Puyallup Wa. in 1963 when Ivo raced and beat Don Garlits 2 out of 3. The footage starts at Madras, and goes to Woodburn, and then to Puyallup. I also saw the Dragmaster Dart at McMinnville in '62. Many of the cars were from the Slo-Poks, and as a group were the most compe***ive anywhere. They had Top Fuel cars, most notably the silver blue Kent Fuller car being pushed by Mike Grimm's Pontiac Safari. The team was Earl Floyd (driver-along with Mike Grimm) Jim Albrich (owned the engine) Mike Grimm (owned the car). Other notables, the Comp Coupe of Bob Deudall, (restored and owned by Jim Lindsay), and the green Willys pickup at the start is Wayne Harry. I have been blessed to know and be friends with so many in this video. Here are some stills.

DOH!!! Correctamundo, I generally don't click on the tube videos so didn't even read that, I did this time because I'm local (sort of) to the Poks. But yeah, I don't even categorize that stuff as music.
As far as the music was concerned, it would have been far better with some of that "Surfin ****" that John Milner despised !
Bandit Billy, Watching videos like that are a double-edged sword. Knowing what a Slo-Poks was and meant to the guys in that video then seeing what it has evolved into today is why my Green Coat stays in the closet. Time changes everything! Not always for the better. Marty, I believe most of that footage came out of Gerry Anderson's collection. I don't know who was actually behind the camera. There is a new memory stick of footage put together by his Daughter from his collection out. Could be what we're seeing.
I don't recall who ran the Devin modified sports car. Lots of familiar cars for sure. Thanks for posting this.
Thanks Mike, It would be hard to top what the Poks did as a club, they had clearly the best iron at the northwest strips. I didn't see Gerry's dragster in the footage, but it really ran with Wayne's 180 Norden crank. I miss those times and was fortunate to meet many of my heroes from the Poks.
You are correct for sure. Those days went down in history. I have to say those days owe a Ton to Albrich! Without him and Wayne in the machine shop I don't know if we would have lit the West Coast on fire or not. Some pretty big names came hunting for us and got Spanked properly and put back on their Trailers. Funny you would mention the Fast Buck. Gerry and I had been planning a recreation of it using my 296" that was done by the Columbia Racing Engine crew. Seemed like Walt's spirit never left us. What a pair of incredible friends I was blessed with. They are sitting together now and probably saying, "if that dang Welder would hurry up and get here, we'll just go ahead and do that". Of course, my motor doesn't have a Norden crank in it so it would only be a runner up.
