I am planning on installing new leaf springs and I can’t figure out a good location to place the jack stands while I let the suspension hang. Normally I would just put them under the axle but that won’t work in this situation. When charging a tire you are supposed to use a bumper jack according to the manual but I don’t feel comfortable going that route. Does anyone have any experience or suggestions?
T bird is a unibody. Put long soft wood blocks and preferably some rubber or other soft material between and raise it on bottom of side rocker panels. Hard to explain but i have 62 t bird myself and i use that technique. There is torque box area between leaf spring front point and rocker panel but bigger place to carry load is allways better way to avoid any deformation.
