As always, your photos show the true topic of the HAMB threads. 2026 LA ROADSTER SHOW. For all of these past years from the early beginnings of just a bunch of roadsters gathering to show their cool hot rods to the public, it has grown to larger than its name. But, thank you for showing the true meaning of the LA Roadster Show.

This is what folks came to see and enjoy. The myriad of cool roadsters from the various clubs, front and center, the L.A. Roadster club, is the core or centerpiece of the whole weekend. It used to be on Father’s Day for years and other shows for that weekend could not keep up with the attendance to that show and the local city shows in various locations.

So, for that weekend, the L.A. Roadsters took over “the show” weekend, for most So Cal residents. The local hot rod displays in other cities took different weekends to stay away from compe***ion that was a losing factor for them. It is the power of the abundance and quality of the roadsters as the centerpiece weekend in So Cal.

Just to make sure folks from other cities know, the swap meet is not in the name as it started. The roadsters are the draw, not rusty old parts or half completed cars. It does take a while to walk the whole show as the displays seem endless… roadsters and old parts. YRMV

That's your opinion....... MOST of the HAMB focused cars (traditional builds, period correct) are displayed in the Swap Meet section. (as they have been snubbed by the group with fibergl*** roadsters). In the past there has been a huge draw of international buyers to the swap meet looking for the rare parts that make a car period correct. There are several HAMB members who pay for a swap space just to gather as a group of like minded individuals.

 

Jnaki, Thank you for your great feedback on this iconic show. This show is not only for Roadsters, but for Specialty Hot Rods and the huge swap meet along with all the great people and friends we catch up with. My goal with my photos is to share it with people that were not able to attend and would enjoy seeing these hot rods. This show is one of two must attend tearly shows for me, along with the GNRS (another great show).

 

Agreed, there are a lot of HAMB Hot Rods in the swap meet areas, That's why it's great to walk through the whole show and see everything. I may not be looking to buy anything in the swap meet at times, but the walk through the swap meet to see the HAMB and others cars is well worth it. Never miss the swap area, even if your not in search of parts.

Friday was easier than Saturday. I have a lot of patience and I just wait for the right moment to capture the photo. Sometimes, at the GNRS event, I will wait 10-15 minutes to shoot one car if I want the shot bad enough. If I have no patience that moment, I walk awalk and come back later.

 

Thank you. I have a lot of patience and using a wide angle lens allows me to get close to the car and avoid a lot of people in my shot....most of the time.
