Event Coverage LA ROADSTER SHOW 2026

You heard correctly. Every year the Fairplex seems to create changes for one reason or another, but the club keeps on overcoming what's tossed their way - and usually at the last minute. It amazes me that the show has been the same weekend at that facility for I think 47 years and the people in charge of the facility don't seem to care.

 

Abe, Nice meeting you at the swap meet. Good show. I had a horrible swap spot out in no man's land. I overcame the drama. All good! Great time!

 

We snuck a spot up close and it still was just so so. The sap part of the show had good potential but not a lot of buyers. Just the same people trading parts.

Baton Rouge, etc. Had a man from Japan interested in my 34 3-window. Had a man from Sweden ask "is that your car?" as I was showing some pictures. I said yes, how do you know the car? He said I saw it at a show. I asked what show, I don't take the car to shows. He said I saw it at the Roc. So a guy from Sweden saw my car in Oklahoma, I am from Nor Cal and he was talking to me in Pomona, Hardly the same people trading parts.

Once again thanks for the great pics. A LA Roadster show without Blues pictures would be a bummer. Hope the back gets better, the road to recovery can be a slow grind. Glad to see your PU is still looking good!

 

Thanks! The back is doing much better, not 100% back to normal yet, but close. Friday was a bear. I was hunched over and in pain, even just the drive there was bad, and the drive home worse. But I iced it down at home, and then alternated between heat and ice and by Sat morning it was much better, I was able to stand up straight anyway. The next day, Sunday, was the Day of Music in my hometown, where they celebrate live music all over town for the day. I was signed up to play 3 different gigs, starting at 11 and the last one ended at 7:30. I opted to leave the heavy tube amp at home and used a light weight, cheap solid state amp instead, and did fine lifting that and carrying it. And then back to work on Monday, been nursing it all week, heat & ice works wonders on a sore back.

 

These were all part of the Opposing Cylinders/So Cal Speed Shop display. I ***ume they are officially 2 different groups, but it's hard to tell where the dividing line is. Last year they all rolled in together and parked behind the So Cal booth. This year Opposing Cylinders has their on booth, right next to So Cal. All great high level cars & hot rods.

 

I think this is Jack Stewart’s (Mr. 32) Roadster with a few changes, black grille, different wheels and a tan top. Timeless beauty, anyone know who owns it now?

 

Thanks for the great shots. There were many beautiful hot rods on display and the number of black '32 & '33/'34 Fords validated that black is the best color for early coupes.
All years and makes were represented and it was a wonderful show.

 

It's a small club and we're all in it. The guy and his dad parked next to me were from NV. He had bought a Hemi from a guy who lived next to a friend of mine who died a couple years ago.
