Way to go Mark, and shame on you @Ed95 for causing this in the first place.

 

I have been buying and selling on the Hamb for years . Only got screwed once in the very beginning , that once I looked over the communication a blind and def hamster would have seen it was scam.!

oh well live and learn , from the probably 50 or so transactions that was the only one .

 

Over the years I've had many transactions here, buy, sell, haul. Never dealt with a jerk, everyone was great.

 

I have always said....

" This hobby has the BEST Folks in the world in it" & the guys/gals on the HAMB are great examples of this! That is not to say that from time to time issues arise between folks, but I like to think that if both are decent, the issues can be worked out. The very small percentage of scammers, criminals & s***bags stick out like sore thumbs & are generally NOT really car guys.

I am standing up!

 

Almost every transaction I've made on the HAMB has been positive. One guy a while back flaked on the $25 bucks I asked for the instructions for an ****yzer I photocopied for him.
But the good far exceeds the bad. After seeing my smart*** comment about SBCs littering the streets because no one wants them, @hrm2k GIVES me one!
Not a block. Not a core. A complete, running, 350, aluminum intake, headers, TH350, extra parts, too! Well, shut my mouf! John is good people, a stand up dude.

Then my man @Bill's Auto Works made me a deal I couldnt refuse on my car trailer. Thanks Bill!
Its like having an entire garage bay. But ready to mobilize when needed.

 

Since I joined, back in 2008, I have bought and sold many items on here and have never had a bad experience. Some of the "Hamb'ers" that I have dealt with have become long time friends! The Hamb is a great place with great people.

 

Here is a funny story. Years ago, close to 20, I had bought a high dollar trumpet for my son. He was an all stater in jazz band etc. we thought he deserved a better horn. I bought one off of eBay from a guy. He was in St Louis. The guy’s screen name was something like “ 6 foot nine”.

Well anyway, we paid and no horn. This went on for about a month…no horn and we were out some serious cash.

Through some internet searches, I found the guys address and called Brian Fox, (King Ch***is) and told him the story. He said “ We got this. I’ll go and visit the guy. My buddies love to fight”. I warned him that the guys screen name was 6 foot nine and he said “ Even better.”

Sunday morning rolls around and they knock on the door…the guy opens the door and here stands the Hamb hit man squad. “ Send the horn tomorrow or we will be back”.

The horn showed up with overnight freight!
Good to have friends.

I'd like to give a big shout out for Gary, krylon 32. I recently had some issues with some parts I bought through him THAT WERE NOT HIS MANUFACTURE. He immediately contacted the manufacturer and resolved the problem. I had new parts in a few days. Stand up guy. Stands behind what he sells.

 

When you say stand up are you talking about comedy or something else? Hehe

 

I'm talking about his integrity and the way he conducts his business. Stands behind what he sells.

Have both bought and sold here on the HAMB.
Never an issue. Also if the member is an Alliance Member it adds another layer of confidence . IMO
