Yes, a heartfelt, honest response would help, but you can't please everyone. The lack of communication is huge on top of the (lack of) service. Saying to judge us not by what we say but what we do and not doing either for so long is compounding the concerns. So what's the latest project, Eddy? Well I'm just gonna keep the faith. When my issue arrives I don't have to wade thru LS bs and 22" "rims" and digital gauges, jack/**** interiors with supercar wannabe seats in synthetic leather. Nah, give me Naugahide or give me milk crates! Real leather. Even wool broadcloth or some mylar encrusted carpet and seat fabric. Worth the wait? Sure, still getting what I paid for but it's late. Better than a jab in *** with a sharp stick. Some of the most vociferous in here act like they'd rather have the sharp stick. Wait, that's not considered hate speech I hope...
It's not what I or any one else wants. That has no bearing on the situation. If you can't run a business legally and honestly then you should not be in business period. If any other business operated like TRJ does you and everyone else would be crucifying them. I have seen you do it many a time for far less than what has gone on here.
That means mine will probably show up about Friday after the pony express hauls it across the Rez from Portland. I always have gotten all of my magazines several days after everyone else gets theirs.
I can imagine Steve doesn't want to answer the phone, he knows it's some one complaining and it's a long list of complaints, he knows he hasn't shipped 4 magazines like was promised but think back before COVID, Steve's relocation and the economy took a hit he was living up to his promise. I can imagine he is doing everything in his power to keep from filing chapter 13, it would be easier than having many of his subscribers constantly provably beating the **** out of him, yet he keeps trying, he hasn't satisfied everybody and why so many guys still haven't received the last issue when most of us have had it in our hands for months. If the TRJ folded tomorrow I would hate to see it but on the other hand I got in early on the lifetime deal and had I purchased the magazines at the news stand I have gotten my moneys worth, sadly I know some have gotten very little for the hard earned money, I'm happy Steve is trying to hang on but he has to do better, take care of his overseas subscribers that haven't received the current issue and the subscribers here in the states that are still empty handed BEFORE he publishes another issue. There is no doubt in my mind Steve has a lot on his plate and I also believe it is truly the best magazine out there and I am still hoping it survives, only time will tell. HRP
Well, I went to the mailbox today, and lo and behold, issue 87 was there to greet me! Yes, its a little bit late!!!! but it was a very welcomed surprise, and HOPEFULLY, the way forward. I did get in touch with Hot Rod Ron, when he was still liasing with TRJ, and I have sent a couple of polite emails, so maybe it has paid off. To hose that haven't received your books yet, keep the faith!!! If we can get them in NZ, on the other side of the World, there's hope for you guys!!!
Number 87 finally arrived down under in NZ today advertising the GNRS January 2025. A little late to the party. I hope GNRS get an advertising refund from 18 months ago. Don’t know who is paying for my subscription as my credit card was cancelled 6 months ago..? Still enjoying the awesome read. I

#87 arrived July 8 2026 in Victoria BC Canada although it appears it may have originally been addressed to Sweden !!?? Very happy to finally have it.
The Swedish dude that was supposed to get it is probably not so happy. Seems there are a lot of "redirected" magazines showing up in poeples mailboxes in the US and Canada. I wonder........... could these be the shipment that was supposedly destroyed...??? This saga just never seems to run out of weird stuff happening.
@twenty8 the destroyed batch was an earlier issue, 2020-21 era, IIRC. This #87 was one batch, in US and international (held up by red tape), then another batch that was supposed to be the repaired and updated list again for US and international. As to if this is musical chairs/three card monte or not, so long as someone is getting stuff and the music doesn't stop, it is moving in the right direction.
The comment about the "destroyed shipment" was made tongue in cheek..... Although I will say that the mailings arriving that have been readdressed look su****iously like a case of robbing Peter to pay Paul.
@GZ The music slowed waaay down, but it's picked back up again, judging from recent posts. Fixed? not for everyone. Trust restored? No. Still, it's progress.
