I found the plane, and the Millers Falls "Buck Rogers" style hand drill at sales about a month ago. I had to go to the hospital to have a cancer tumor removed from my lower intestine on June 11th, then back to the hospital again, because of constriction in the intestines.5 days with a tube down my nose, throat, and into my stomach, to drain it. ( Getting that inserted was the most painful experience of my life.) Any way, digestion seems to be working now, and I went to my first yard sale since the operation last Saturday. I got the Millers Falls carving set, the 1960s Matchbox trucks, and a Redline Beatnik Bandit. The Hot Wheels is missing it's motor, but I just ordered a repro motor for it and a Demon, (Hot Wheels name for the Lil Coffin) and parts for 2 other Redlines that I've had for a while.
Glad you are doing better. I had that same GN drain tube in for about 3 weeks last year...you're right, very unpleasant.
I had stage 4 cancer 34 years ago . I had NG tube for 9 days that round . I have had to return 3 more times through the years to endure the inserting and dealing with the NG tube . It is about the worst event a human can endure and be awake . You are in my prayers . Be strong , you can beat this have fun with your hot rod again soon .
The HAMB cl***ifieds provided the chrome glove box to match the chrome ash tray i already had. These tri 5 dress up parts used to be available at swap meets. Its been years since I saw any. "If it don't go, chrome it!"
Yes it does. I can’t even imagine that tube! I had a catheter for about 7-8 weeks after my prostate removal, due to cancer. Dealing with the catheter was worse than the surgery!
Spent Sunday afternoon with Friends harvesting vintage car parts out of the wild . We drove 20 miles of smooth Oklahoma dirt roads to get to the old building site . Then a quarter of a mile across a pasture to when the car was sitting . It involved a skid steer with pallet forks to get the car out of the trees where it sat for 30+ years. A saw zaw and cut off wheels on a 4” angle grinder . It was a great adventure

Someone from the town where I have my diner gave this to me today. I figured “Oh, cool, thanks!” Then I read the back- it’s the village’s zip code. Even cooler. We display old plates in our diner, so it’s going up on our wall.
'53, that's the good one with the shorter end teeth and no integrated parking lights. Plus you have the pan, those are often harder to find than the teeth themselves. Excellent save.
This weekend was the Iola swap meet, I was there shopping Thursday by myself and bought a bunch of **** but nothing overly picture-worthy. Friday my fiancee joined me and she splurged on this. She drives a Gremlin and is big into AMC stuff and this was too good to p*** up, came from the son-in-law of the mainenance man that was working there when Chrysler bought out American Motors. She got the whole history on it, the name of the guy and address where it was hung, a whole background, which makes it that much cooler. The seller gave her a break on the price too, he could tell she really wanted it.
I got the stickers and lathe centers at the Tuckahoe Steam and Gas Show in southern Maryland, on Friday, then I found the signs, truck, Manoil cars, bottle and can at a yard sale on Saturday.
I also got these hubcaps at Iola, mostly because I don't know what they're for and I wanted to solve the mystery. They're chrome plated steel, new old stock, they're only 8" diameter and they have a valve stem hole in them. The snap ring on the back looks like they snap into something with nubs (like a Chevy rally wheel center cap) and not directly onto the outer rim with teeth like a regular wheel cover. Maybe not (probably not?) automotive, but then what are they? I've seen some lawnmowers with hubcaps but never with valve stem holes.
That's what the last guy bought them for but he said they would not fit, although there were a lot of different kinds of golf carts so who knows.
