I fail to see the issue, I don’t were ear plugs at the races. It is a good way to get run over in the pits!
I would have a bigger issue about open headers about two feet from the exposed fuel tank! The driver of that car needs his head examined.
The V twin powered cycle car brought a smile to me, very typical of the '30s in Calif. My grandpa built one during the late '20s by collecting parts at the local junk yard. Very innovative and my Dad and his brothers had a great time racing around LA.
I've heard of "doodle bug" to describe stripped down Model T's from my Great Grandfather....even though most " doodle bug" names are for those tractor conversions....

man I love the "bug" simple, primitive maybe even agricultural ( like many of us) They are like a powered billy cart, I am collecting bits and pieces to build one once I finish my roadster.
Engineering aside, That thing was successful in its day, **** Kraft was a pioneer. Some consider it the first dragster.
