What a day, what a day......had a blast the night before at Dans Silverleaf, slept at the Motel 6, and hit the show around 10 in the mornin'. Much to my surprise, one of my favorite cars ever shows up! The Green Grenade and it's new owner Steve Ernst. I practically dropped a load when I spied it at the back of the parking lot making it's way in. Steve was a helluva nice guy, and we shot the **** off and on all day. Then, paint slinger extrordinaire, Cindy "Crash" Raschke walks by my wagon and says "I'm dying to paint something on your hood"! I promptly said she could have at it, and the results are fantastic! My old wagon has never gotten that much attention at a show, but Crash was drawing them in. Every time I would look towards the wagon the rest of the day, people were checking it out and taking pics. To top off a perfect day, as everyone is leaving, I hear Steve Ernst yelling at me over the rumble of the Hemi, he gets out and says "HAVE AT IT MARK!!!!!" I actually got to drive the Grenade! I tooled around the parking lot for a while, and them jammed up and back behind the horse barns a few times. It was killer!! Thanks to everyone involved for the great show and a great time...it gets better every year. See pics here: http://s19.photobucket.com/albums/b198/sciflyer72/PnP 2006/

That wasn't a sympathy beer man, you NEEDED it!! I know you had a rough go at it this weekend, but you toughed it out and made it. I'm hoping all went well on the way home. Happy B-day to you as well.
I'll bet you have man!!!! Thanks for the memories. I can't wait to see what you've got on the burner next. Steve asked if I thought he should get new rubber before the Dallas show, and I said no. That car looks great with the worn rubber thats on it. Totally lit a fire under my *** to get my coupe going. Sometimes thats what you need.....
