Hot Rods How about some love for the T-Bucket?

this one is really up my alley. any details?

 

Image search didn't find anything even close. Expected since the source is an original hard copy Moriarity has. Searching for "T-Bucket with White and gold striped interior" didn't turn up anything either.
The T-bucket plans site has a bunch of pages of old pics. That's a rabbit hole to dive into.

Other clues
2 flatheads tend toward earlier, same with the drum front brakes, but not certain.
The upholstery being taller than the door seems to be one of the earlier body molds, but not positive.
Style of upholstery was popular but fell out of style and hasn't made a resurgence. Early 60s?
Whitewall going all the way to the bead is early.Bias ply for sure. Does not look like a port a wall to me.
The rear wheels on the ground are pretty wide (6-7"?) for very early 60s but that was being done.
Are those blueprints on the wall?

Maybe Mark can narrow it down with the intake/carbs and the lawnmower!

I've been having a look back at older posts in this thread and found this image a few times with the question of what film it might be from. I got to this post on page 91 and decided to do a search. I don't know if anyone else might have already posted this info but I found a couple of Facebook pages with this image on.

Extremely Cool stuff, Glen! I wasn't able to find anything on the people or the car, just the trains in the background. That nailed it down to the SF bay area and a time frame, but that was it. The post about the train stuff. Seems the date Snick and I posted is just a month after his first recollection posted in FB.

In the 60’s we were into fast cars and going to Mel’s diner on Gery Street in San Francisco. We all went to Lincoln High and later formed a rock band. These are a few photos of friends and I in those days which have long p***ed. We are all in our 80’s now but these memories are still fresh in our minds.

This phot was taken at the SP rail yeard in San Francisco about 59 years ago. I am the guy with the turtle neck on and was 21 at the time, the other guy who looks the the Fonz was 25 years old then. Today I am 80 and my friend who owned the car is no 84. How time fly's by when your having fun.

Wow! I will have to spend some time digging through this thread. I was told to post here after being told to post somewhere else after posting my intro. I see some familiar people from the other bucket forum here as well, hello all!

I found this T-Bucket in Mount Clemens, MI. I dragged it home to Byron, IL (home of the Meltdown). It has an NSRA member windshield decal. I was told it was built by a friend of a Benson from the Benson & Hedges cigarette brand sometime in the '70s. I tried contacting NSRA, but the number on their site does not seem to work, and I don't see an email or any other way to contact them. I'm hoping to find some more info on this old hot rod. Thanks!

I'm glad it made your day. Lots of comments on one of those FB posts with many asking about the T, but no replies from Jack about it. It's in one of the replies where he mentions the name of the band.

@KiwiGlen I've never been a FB member. I can see some public stuff but even marketplace blocks stuff out after 5-6 rows of results. Due to that and other stuff, I prefer to repost pertinent stuff when possible. Like the CL/FB ads, if the ad page goes, so does the text and pics.

 

I visited the second Facebook link from my previous post about the red T again and there are comments regarding the engine in it. Three say Olds and one says Caddy. I'm no good at identifying engines, so can someone please enlighten me?

Also, this photo of another 'bucket was posted in another comment. Said the photo was 1969 so hope it's ok to post here...

With the 70 and 60 series tires, that one should go in the OT thread. 1965 is the cutoff here although a few things slip over.
