Complete car or parts. Rolling, running, etc? Makes a difference as to what transporter will want the job.
+1 - Running, rolling, pallet (no axles/wheels), with loose parts? All too often people buy first and once they add the shipping it turns out the one down the block was cheaper.
All of the Hamb-o-Dex guys are excellent. I have used Bill Squires before with excellent results. I would ponder that shipping rates are $2.00/mile (do the math). Commercial haulers are a ****shoot.
Several years ago I sold a bare early Ford frame to a guy in the Midwest. He had Ben D pick it up in conjunction with another delivery. We had to carry the frame by hand from my lower yard to his truck. Nice guy, never complained about the hand carry.
