Projects 30 Model A Pheaton

I’m think on trading no my39 Ford Tudor to a 1930 Ford Pheaton. The trade is car for car. The only thing bugging me is the Model A is missing the top and top irons. Is model A worth what a 39 ford is? Which the model a is road ready and my car need wiring of the lights and some small stuff.

 

I'd keep the '39. JMO

 

I say no, look at the engine install in the phaeton, the radiator is shoved forward which looks awkward, looks thrown together.

 

The 39 is a rain or shine car. I'd keep it.

 

Top irons are a pain To find...

The 1930 Ford Pheaton, looks to be short on leg room with the dash the way it is , and if you are tall you would need to rework the front seat ( move the back rear back ) to set comfortable in it

NO!! Keep plugging away on your '39. I would never consider trading it for the Pheaton....nope....no way.

 

The top irons for a 1930 pheaton are impossible to find.

 

I wantbtothank everyone for there input. I guess I was just wanting a Model A hotrod and it blinded me. Like a kid in a candy store. So I guess I will just keep slugging it out on the 39 until I can’t afford one. Thanks for all the advice.

 

If you want a Model A, are you planning to hotrod it or stay mostly stock? If I had that '39, I'd keep it and ensure it is a reliable daily driver, then go shopping for a Model A project and start collecting the parts you need to realize your version of an A bone. Some things take time but they're worth it.
