Anyone know what other brake drums might fit a 1959 Ford car other than the stock ones. They are 11 inch by 2 1/2. 4 1/2 bolt center.
I 'think' cars from 57-62ish should be the same. I could very well be wrong, knowing how Ford likes to reinvent the wheel about every year or two. Mike
Look at the Durango BD2800 drum listed on Rock Auto. Shows it fits a 1960 Galaxie front which at 11 x 2.5 is ***umed being for the front.
I wonder where the aftermarket places that sell 9" brake kits get their drums from. I seem to remember an 11 x 2.5" drum with a multi lug pattern. The center hole size can be made to fit if needed. https://www.strangeengineering.net/product/late-big-ford-drum-brake-kit.html/ https://autokrafters.com/brake-drum...0-68-ford-galaxie-1958-68-thunderbird-bd2620/
Kanter has a listing. I was just shopping for brake parts for my 59. https://www.kanter.com/products/brake-drum-bd2800a
