I was at my friend’s shop last week (Coalville Kid) and looking across a corner of his shop I thought it might be interesting to some of you. Both 59 Caddy’s have LS engines and transmissions. The blue one was originally a 4 door. Some years back I had posted some pictures of his 39 Ford Deluxe “3 window coupe” that started life as a 2 door sedan. Now in his upper 70s and still hard at work making his own kind of magic! IMG_0909.jpeg IMG_0909.jpeg

In the background you might notice 2-33 Ford 3 window coupes, one Olds powered and the other Chevy powered, a Model A pickup powered by a Buick V6 supercharged, and an early Corvette. Kinda makes ya wonder what ya can’t see, huh?

That blue Cadillac looks like it has a customized top on it.

I'd like to see more of that "Cad-mino", that's pretty slick!

It was Cadillac 4 door flattop model. The back window was moved forward from the back door to the front door. Rear doors were welded shut, the trunk lid had 30 inches added to it.

I think I was parked next to the blue Caddy at a car show a couple of years ago. Or one like it.

Ken and his wife are good people. He has a nice collection, and knows how to build them with quality.

That Caddy's a Knockout and it's a place to drool a little, that's for sure!...:)
Thanks for sharing the shop @34fordy

I modded a 4 door version of this Artwork by a giant in past Auto Design Greatness to a similar Customino...they really look stunning as one too...

Cool! So what did he do with the Good Cadillac Engines after he put the generic ones in?

Now that he has "come out of the closet" maybe he will share more pictures of the blue Cadillac build and engine bay. He has lots of Kodaks from many years of building cars. Ken and Anna have been helpful to so many other folks with their builds and continue with this tradition of service!

Hey as long as he keeps the hood closed, he can technically say he has a small block Chevy in it. :D

This is the off topic area so I look forward to seeing how he dressed the engines. I have a newer smallblock in the Ole Hotrod but it's dressed as a 1963ish hop up. I'm also sure that the original engines have moved on to happy recipients or Ken is going to use them in one of his future projects. I hope he shares his other Caddy and perhaps some of his past history in Hotrod/Custom...
