For those who have seen this locomotive making the 250th Anniversary commemorative run through our nation. The restoration was practically impossible. What a site watching this engine operating.

Big boy is now headed back west through the country. It will, after a day stop, be leaving Fostoria Ohio at 9 am.
Don’t miss this. And importantly don’t go near a scheduled stop. Too much traffic and crowds. Find one of the many cross road intersections on its route and watch it in action. Really cool.

My wife and me got to see it coming through Lorain. We were on the side of the tracks with others having a clear view. Met some who had went to Rocky River only to in a mob of people with no way of seeing the train, made the move to Lorain to a front row seat with us. It was really cool to see.

Looked at that engine sitting on tracks at the Pomona Fair grounds for mor years than I can count. It looked sad but in no way dead. I’m glad it came back to life by the men who loved it!

Did two summers at the Cal. State Railroad Museum-best job I ever had! I sooooooooo wanted to see the 4449 the Cab Forward at full steam again. But the museum just doesn't have that kind of money.:(
