Wonder what the trailer hitch was for? Maybe they were surfers and had a trailer for their boards and kit.

...Hamber @snoop74's Bowtie 409 powered to boot...thats my guess anyway. Could be a 348 too...no matter cool either way...it's kind funny how Chev carried the 34 look forward in the body and grill where Ford went for fairly big body mods...

Towing a dry lakes racer to the event...I believe they do have one...

 

Yeah, we have Lake Gairdner (spl?) in South Australia. It is a salt lake, but I think that pic is way before they started speed events on there. My guess is that they were surfers going by their where they are. But of course, I could be wrong, cheers

Thank you, you're welcome and I have had help here with a dedicated group of followers over the years. @onekoolkat1950 nothing like chiming in with a bang!! Good to hear from the Square roll bars crowd always...You have really done well and the Shop looks fantastic...a place where Kool evolves...

I believe the Hamb has become more open to bigger picture so to speak...since this Thread came to be...however it is still growing as the Hotrods poke their noses out of their tombs 1 by 1...

Most likely a small caravan (very popular still today in Aus) or a trailer to take rubbish to the tip (landfill) a VERY common thing back when I was growing up.

 

Im not much of a fan of duval style windshields but it sure works on that car! Am thinking its a one off??
