I'd say it's an MEL 430

My aunt *****ed so much about the new '55 Chevy wagon (235 auto) my uncle bought for her and the 4 kids that he gave her a '56 for door 265-stick with what ever the factory performance package was offered back then+ dealer extras. My brother, the cousins, and I all raced it in the Bay Area in our turns for a couple of years. But Aunt Shirley was still not happy. Uncle Eddy got her a '58 Merc Wagon with the 430 Mel package. It was not as "quick" as the "56 in the 1/4 but we youngsters were never able to agree on the top speed because long straightaways suitable for those runs were hard to find in Northern CA back then. It just kept on going.
