Thanks Dan! Pretty sure folks were wondering why I was standing in the middle of the road at 4:00 taking a quick photo. It just seemed like a good photo op.

Stopped at the edge of my property to check on something at the neighbors house and saw another photo op since I had also just washed the car.

 

That reminds me I need to do the same to both of mine this week

Haha…nothing I suppose. Heck, it even has A/C. Just something about driving an old car though. I think you know what I mean.

 

Well I was meaning to just was and wax them but now that you mentioned it I do need to run next door to play with my neighbors new puppy and give her new chewy and I might just take a few pictures of the woody out in the wild this week

I love this, this is what I intended on doing with my Nash all summer before the rod knock was discovered. Hoping to have that sorted soon and then just post pictures of daily use instead of plastigage readings and rod bearing wear patterns.

Some great photo ops lately, keep them coming. It's very motivating.

 

Man I was driving my box to work this morning and it was just dark enough to have the lights on. I've been being driven nuts by the bright dash lights since I've owned it, about a decade. Well this morning for whatever reason I thought 'I wonder if they dim if I twist the switch' and sonofa*****, they dimmed, lmfao. Ten years they been driving me nuts and I was too stupid to figure 1950s technology!

 

LMAO! I drove around for a while in mine barely being able to see the gauges until I tried the opposite to brighten up the lights. At least it didn't take me 10 years to try it... But, I also have rarely owned a car that long so have to learn fast. lol

 

Do your gauges reflect off the windshield bad? When mine are bright, they're terrible, that's what's been bugging me all these years. It's not like you can't drive it, but it's annoying. Speedo is dead center and all light, and I can see a perfect reflection of it right where I wanna look through the windshield....

 

Wait! You said it’s 100 degrees and stuff is still green! Here in sunny Californ-i-a it’s been dead and brown months before we ever saw 100. I’m green with envy! Lol

Things are dying off quickly now that temps have remained in the 100’s for a couple weeks now with no rain or cool down in sight. Kinda takes some of the fun out of driving old cars other than after dark…

 

Hmm…if it does, it hasn’t bothered me. I should have noticed this question before I drove it to Walmart tonight…. I’ll pay attention now and report back.

We got a late start this year; everything is green and the rain just won't let up long enough to get much done. Back in Virginia everything would be dying off by now. Except Kudzu. only WINTER knocks that **** back.

 

Didn’t have any issue with the dash lights reflecting on the windshield when I was actually paying attention going to the grocery store just now.

 

I’ve been out of town all week back and forth to North Carolina driving the semi so kinda tired of highway traffic. Taking the scenic route 30 miles home after parking the truck. Oh, but it’s 105 today so a tad bit warm out…

 

Oh, and my gas gauge just started working again on the way home. I just checked that pic and it wasn’t working then. But, it has a half tank according to the gauge now.

 

Don’t trust it, mine lies to me and I put a new sending unit in it this past winter.
