A pair of Crager SS skinnies for about $20 at an auction. At the time, I didn't have anything with 4 3/4 bolt pattern.

    Well I've only got 3,

1969 firebird trans-am, all there and all original. Ram air III turbo 400. 5000.00 early 90's

1970 super bee, all there, all original, nice shape except the heads were off and had new valve seats for unleaded gas, the top end of the motor including the complete six-pack setup was in the trunk, 2500.00 early 90's

    1965 pontiac 2+2, 421 H.O. turbo 400
all there, original, ran and drove but hit in rear quarter, 500.00 late 80's.

That's the only ones I really wish I could have a second chance at....

A lotus 23B for $4k in the late 80's, early 90's. It had an aftermarket neat body on it but was otherwise stock. A couple of years later they were selling for $150k. Reproduction bodies were available and reasonably cheap.

Around 1990, someone up the street from my parents had a beautiful low-mileage 1967 VW convertible for $1200. That was a screaming deal; I had thoughts of buying it and flipping it, but had no money at the time with a young family. The owner must have found out what it was worth, because a couple months later he had it advertised for $12,000, and I later learned it sold for $10,000.
