I am in need of a drivers side front fender for a 1929 model a ford coupe.Brookville no longer makes them. Does anyone make fenders for a model a in steel? If not, does anyone know where to buy a good used one? Its for a restoration, so gl*** wont due. Any help would be great.
I just looked on FB Marketplace. No shortage of them near me. Also a few project cars that were fair priced. I am on the wrong side of the county to help other than that. You also need to say what year you need.
Gaslight Auto was the only producer of new fronts. I don’t know if they still make them or make them in batches but I’d check there.
Send Matt and Mike an e-mail : www.irontrapgarage.com -or- check out their on-line store - www.instagram.com/irontrapfinds It's worth the inquiry. VR&C.
There are 12 MAFCA Chapters in WA - https://mafca.com/chapters/ Check their newsletters or visit the close ones. Someone will have a fender or 10 lying around. Don't broadcast it's for a hot rod. "I'm restoring it - always liked them......" You may get lucky and get some widow who's selling off her hubby's junk and pay $10. It's best to go local - shipping is a killer.
Dunno if Snyder's is even still in business, or if they even ever carried sheet metal. GoTo for the A guys around here. Even if, shipping would most likely be a deal breaker. Good luck Jim! https://www.snydersantiqueauto.com/?
Snyder’s is still in Business and they do carry sheet metal. Only place I still order from as they’ve never sold me stuff they didn’t have.
Snyder's shows steel fenders discontinued - https://www.snydersantiqueauto.com/searchm.htm?type=merged&sterm=&searcht=29+front+fender Mikes A-ffordable had them for $600 but out of stock AZ will be a used one, AI guesstimates $150-230 for shipping AZ-WA + I'm sure there will also be handling/crating charges by seller.
Hey Jim, I may have a few down by Eugene, flying out for street rod nats right now but will take a look and get you pics when I get home. Will dm my phone number
