Event Coverage SLO POKS UP TOWN CRUISE 2026

Went to get a trophy and a car Show broke out. The annual up town cruise hosted by the Sli Poks car club.

A virtual smorgasbord of excellence on upper Main Street, Vancouver USA (the original BTW).

 

Oh yeah, hardware received for the pick up. The club builds all of the trophies given out. This one matches The gas pump in the kitchen.

Great pics, thought about heading back up to the show, but I slept in and went to one closer to the home. That is always a good event.

Excellent as always. It is a great local event. Great host car club. Great weather. Great everything.

I was looking forward to this one all week and it didn't disappoint. Oh, I also had a drink in the oldest bar in Washington. The Tic Toc license was issued the day after prohibition was repealed. There was one bar owner in front of them that day but that bar was closed during the 2020 thingy. And just to be clear, I had to buy the drink in order to use the rest room. It's a law!

 

Believe it or not but the paint on that '40 is 30 years old.

 

Speaking of 30 year olds, where the heck were you today? I had one guy walk up to me and tell me that he sees a truck at some breakfast joint in town with a stop light on the back of the bed like mine. I can only think of one guy...

Great stuff there. You just flat know that it is going to be a good one when the Pokes put it on though. I just checked the Northwest car event calender and it wasn't listed though.
