Got it running, new fuel pump yada yada, now time to clean out the tank. Gas smells of varnish, drained most of it out, but how can i clean the rest out?

$5 gallon of muriatic acid. mix at 3 to 1 water to acid. DO NOT Inhale! with the tank removed., pour it in. swirl it around for an hour (drag it behind a mower) dump it out. rinse with water, rinse with alcohol. put it back in and keep it full of gas so the crud doesn't come back. and run a clear filter for a while.

mine had a bunch of rust,, then a bunch of holes. bought me a new one for about 2 bills. one less thing to go wrong while on the road.

all you need to do is miss one chunk of stuff in the tank and you are on the side of the road somewhere stuck
