Don’t blame education for stupidity! Those “ educated fools” were fools before they were educated! I fear our schools of higher learning are being run by folks that I don’t agree with, but it’s a free country!
I have two degrees, so I guess I’m educated! But after a while , making a living with my education, I went back to working with my hands and brain, in about 1977! While I’m comfortable in both arenas, I prefer the “ hands on” work!

Education is like life…..it is what you make of it!

“YOU WERE MEANT TO BE HERE, FROM THE BEGINNING…”

    Hello,

Our futures were not laid out when we started high school or even earlier. The looks, the talks, the getting to know each other started when we were a little more in place with the world. And, we wanted what each has always told the other, to be together, regardless of the location of our lives. The one thing was being close to the ocean, if not right on the sand and water.

The world was going to some weird place with all of the turmoil happening. 1968 was not the most calm of years in the timeline. But, it was when we decided to go ahead and get married to be able to adjust to the world outside as a couple, with our own ideas and pathways to our own future. Yes, we followed the rules for the most part and stayed within the parameters of a good "couple of kids" on their way.

But, during college, that opened our eyes to what was going on and together we decided to stay connected. As a couple of young 20 somethings, that was a good place to start. Eyes wide open and searching for a direction. Together, we found what we wanted to do. Live a simple lifestyle a**** the turmoil of those that wanted to have tons of money and status. Those two meant nothing to us. It was a way to move ahead for most, but we moved in our own time and speed.

So, where were you in 62? Or earlier? It did not matter, as the stars came together and the future was a wide open path for us to search and find what we wanted to do, together. It started at the beginning for us and we made it this far on our own decisions and thoughts…YRMV

I used to have a picture of me and my 1951 Alstate box scooter, in 1962, that I had taken with my 110 Boy Scout camera! In my last move, some 26 years ago, that small album went missing! It had probably a dozen of my favorite pictures in it!
Here is a picture of a scooter like the one I rode! I still have that scooter….but mine is not nearly as nice as this one , though!

I bet that's identical to the one I have (or had). I bet mine's in a box somewhere on this property.

Yeah, it was a box! I just mentioned a Boy Scout camera, but it was actually a “ Girl Scout “ camera! My Mom gave it to me! I will ask her about it! I think I still have it!

(Forever) Got a feeling that forever

(Together) We are gonna stay together

    (Forever) From now until forever

You're the biggest part of me
    (Ambrosia)
    Hello,

The popularity of these words stuck in most teenager and 20 somethings like a ever lasting theme. We are going to stay together, forever… whether that was true, remained to be seen. In our post high school, college and lifestyle, most of our cl*** friends were married during the time we were married after college.

It was a fun time being together, doing things that made sense for both of us. music, beach lifestyle and being together.
    upload_2026-8-14_5-16-45.png
Starting off with music seemed to tie both of us together. As we got a few years along in our 20 something relationships, it now seemed to meld together, which was fine. It was like being in an “us against the world” situation. The outside world was hectic in those first few years of our life together.
    upload_2026-8-14_5-17-33.png
Music seemed to give us a direction of creativity and lifestyle that we enjoyed.

But, we decided then, continued, together, we will decide what is right for us and it will last forever…

Which it did to this day, “ a zillion light years away” as it seems to be the theme of "being together..." YRMV
