Surprised you were able to get a spot at the beach in the summer.

thanks again for letting us ride along.
Much love for the gauge package. Gets the job done!
Any news or research gleaned from the use and mileage of an old y-block is interesting to me as I have some experience with 'em. Standing by for results.
    And keep having fun.

Wouldn't you make a bit of room for a stranger rolling in driving a flamed '59 Edsel?

Long day. Got to the hotel after midnight. Didn't plan the drive very well. The generator light came on about 9pm, I was in the middle of nowhere. Managed to get it to the motel, 7 volts left in the battery, headlights quit working. I jumped the ballast wire so it would stop misfiring.

What fun. Plan to buy a couple batteries in the morning

I've been there too, and it was in "olden times" when I could not afford to buy a new battery and still running a 6 volt generator system. My daily driver to and from work and school.

i can get a powermaster alternator that bolts in place of the generator at Summit tonight in reno.

I think the marine battery will last all day running only ignition, and the start battery will also if I keep it running most of the time.

    will be an adventure

Had been hot (100+) in Redding the last couple of days but now only mid '80's. Should be a nice drive to Sparks

Went up north just a little past Weed, then down to Sparks. Got to summit an hour before they close, bought a PowerGen alternator for a lot of money, bolted it in, it works. Yay.

Had a friend who bought a dry, dark cabin up a mountain outside Yreka. Beautiful country.
    Go Jim, Go.
Lemons at 17 Mile Drive sounds so cool. Much more my speed than trying to outspend the other Richies.

Sounds like a winner... That wire repair on the generator did not help much I guess?

Sorry you had to spring for the high-falutin' gennie/alternator but that should get the job done.

    Go squirrel

20+ year old fuel hose. Ethanol in today's gas got to it. It broke down and plugged stuff up. The guy must not have had a very good credit rating. 5/16" vs a length of 5/8" garden hose.......

Got 2nd place. The car is working OK still.

On my way to Vegas tonight, then home on Monday.

    Another rest area lunch stop.

They have three people, so they have time to figure things out and think of things to do. They also fed me dinner last night!
