hello all, i cant seem to figure out how to remove the dome light in my 1939 master 85. I need to change the bulb. i dont want to break it. Anyone have any idea?
The ring around the lens just snaps on, get behind the edge with a screwdriver. You will have to unscrew the stem first.
Sometimes there is knob coming through the chrome bezel that switches it on/off. Not sure if an option or what but mine doesn't have one.
On ‘30s Chevies there are two kinds; one with a switch in the dome light ***embly with a vertical push-pull switch and the other which uses a pillar mounted switch. I believe most after ‘34 used a lens mounted to the trim ring that press fits into the light base. Unlike Fords, where some use the wire retainer ring for the lens which is removed from the front.
got it, figured out what you were referring to. mine doesnt have a stem switch, im just going to pull it off.
