The description on that show-card states that the car was pulled out of Ft. Wayne, Indiana. I wonder when that was. I've lived here my whole life (so far!) and don't recall ever seeing this car or even hearing any wild stories about it being stored away somewhere in the area. But I was probably hanging around with the "wrong crowd" at the time and going to Cub Scout meetings and the like.

Now I'm real curious about who owned it here and whether it might have been stored somewhere in my end of town. I likely didn't know the owner but imagine I'd recognize his name.

The stated connection with International Harvester makes a lot of sense. IH was one of Ft. Wayne's largest employers for years. One of the above photos shows a column mounted tachometer that looks like it might have been liberated from an old IH heavy-duty truck parts bin.

@ClayMart I linked the OG post on the board. Says it was advertised a while (g***er board?) and the guy who got it @31whitey hasn't posted since 2016.

That looks right. Read the original 31whitey thread and it just goes dark. Someone said they saw it for sale on the HAMB but 31whitey's threads don't include a for sale thread. Not sure what the lineage since Whitey had it in Montana. Who's the current owner shuttling it all over? WA 1300 miles from AZ.

Looks like it should have been used as a tow vehicle for "The Udder Car", Brent Fanning's Holstein themed Fuel Funny Car. (You'll have to do your own image search to see the connection with this off-topic racer. ) :p

Killer! Cool piece of history right there. I couldn't help but notice the scrub on the front wheels, not just a modern thing it appears. The cost of running cool wheels. Thanks for sharing @Paul

Those wheels are not in the old thread. They fit the look but were not part of the time capsule, unless they were in the barn too.
From the old thread, back in the day. I'm not being negative on the owner bolting them up, but they were not what it ran in the 60s.

I got to see both those cars up close and personal August 14-16 at the Estranged Drags at Toutle Motorsports Park. Visited with the guys for awhile. Both pretty cool cars.
