Hot Rods is this a factory 32 ford gas tank?

    Is there a way to tell who manufactured this tank?

    There should be a drain on bottom

    yr picture looks to have pick up & sender to fair to left

    Looks like it's a Henry Ford original with the bottom drain plug. HRP

    Life is good! That to me was a telltale sign also. That does not look like aftermarket to me.

    I have only had a few Henry tanks ,
    The one Op posted just looks like both the
    Sender & pick up to fair to left ,
    Why ?
    & tank I have had not dimpled like one shown .

    The OP and Eddy’s pics both show the original pickup/sender location right next to the little bolt holes in the rear lip. The other sender hole on each was added by some dad-gum hot rodder wherever he damn well pleased. No wonder they are both in the “wrong” spot.

    Me working on & having stock some modified parts forgetting that 32 only had pickup & bub in one & I walk by a pick up each day 3-4 times on shelf

    I had to drill out the drain plug out on my original tank. The above tanks look like original. The best reproduction tank was made by Vintique and could p*** as original, but the current one is not close.
