  1. Great stuff Brush, thanks for sharing. LowCab, Pickups cool. Hatman, GET TO WORK! (Dig on that econo-up)

I was in a blue mood.
This one grew out of a color mark-up sketch I was working on for a larger illust. (posted line drawing last week.)

I illustrated this for a local fella's Birthday gift from his wife, he had recently finished reconditioning the subject vehicle. The perportions are purposefully tweeked about. Also, it was pretty much drwan sight unseen as she didn't want to tip him off and photos were few.

Whilst waiting on the bus to take me home from the function I was at last night I noticed a big pin striped looking Maori Tiki in trad colours (red, white and black were pretty much it back in pre-euro times) on canvis went to take a pic but between the distance, phone camera and pissed usser it wasn't a good look, it was a good size and hard to tell the method the lines were very thick so it may not have actually been pin striped I'm thinking more regular painting, it was cool.

OK, this will be my first post to the art show.
A photo I recently took at a local yard where there is a lot of good stuff.
haven't been bold enough to venture deeper inside. Been trying to catch the owner when he's there to chat about his cars. Shot this from the perimeter fence. Who know's maybe he's somewhere on the board and will recognize it.

Here is my offering this week:

Anybody remember Biff Burger? In 1960 you could get a burger
for 15 cents, a complete chicken dinner was only 97 cents.

This family is on a trip to Biff Burger in Dads freshly customized
'52 Chevy, with chop top, b pillers removed, roof line reshaped...

Its done in black and white...well almost, cause my daughter
thinks there was no color in the world until the 1980's I mixed
photo with illustration as an experiment.

Janne, LOWCAB, TINGLER, i look forward every week to see what you guys post. Everyone here has such great styles and talent. Another great show, once again. Makes me want to hit myself with a hammer.

I found a sketch book i lost about six months ago, so i'll post a couple crap sketches. One is my '49 Chev without the fenders, and the other is of a guy i worked with ( he did'nt like me much after that)

I'll post a painting i did for a friend, but i did'nt take the photo. It looks like crap too....oh well. Think i will get my own camera for Christmas.

  18. gotta say this week there are some new stuff I'm digging.

Biff burger is a really cool twist.
Chopper Olie, the DS is spectacular. But hey, you already know I'm a fan of your work.
Jigger, that angle you always use, the one from the rear, down under… it's frickin' killer!
The Type 2 is sweet just as all your stuff is, but VW was always cool in my book. Hell, even Ghia designed for them.
And yes Caffiene, the grill does look awesome on the Econo; the whole piece looks good. I have a 63.5 Falcon so its a requirement to like Econos.
    Thanks everyone for sharing.

  19. Thanks LaGrasta. I gave my spy camera to a ground squirrel, he does all my photo reference shots. You too, Josh, thanks.
    J. Angel that Chebby's at almost the same angle as one I've been working on with a similar-esque theme. Go figure.

the same lines for future Friday Art Shows...finding just the right photo
    was a trip.

Here is something else I am playing with. posting it just to see what
it will look like on line

Didn't know if I should post this after Sinclairs artwork. He better post more of it. I like what your doing JohnnyAngel with the appropriated images.
Nothing like yours but I thought I'd chop n drop a Chevy that was in an ad. I did it to a Model A Sedan also. Just didn't think it cut the mustard.

Here is a logo I did for South Bend Motor Speedway. It was just bought and is going to be vastly improved so they needed a new logo. I love this place and it's cool to do something for them.

OMG what a great collection of artists with different styles, and talent abounds. I know I'm the new guy and dont have the same level of polish, but here's a couple of my recent sketches:
