Hot Rods Body shims

Probably asked a thousand times, but where can I get rubber coated or vulcanized steel body shine. The only ones I have seen are Bob Drake's that are round for around 69 bucks ouch!!,and must remove mounting bolts. I'm looking for the standard slip in horseshoe style but coated. IDEA'S ???

 

Doesn’t rubber coating affect the fine-tune ability of the shim? Kinda the purpose in the first place?

 

Try some rubber belting, you can get it in different thickness, and width then cut to size.

 

Dip them in stuff used to coat pliers handles.
