Hot Rods I need help identifying a dash board

32 ford in black and the green is.....

 

My go-to gauge identification page has been down for a couple of days. It came up blank today. It is a lot stronger on ‘30s gauges than ’20s, and the dash you have looks like a late ‘20s dash to me. Measurements of the oval opening might help.

You are always better off bumping your original thread than starting a new one.

The hole in the ‘32 dash looks a bit “off”, like it was modified for a different gauge insert. I think you posted a photo of the back of that dash the other day, could you show it again?

 

Anyone know what these are for?

 

Those are hinges for the deck lid on a ‘28-‘32 Ford.
That dash is original but obviously was modified once, filled back in and then a new opening added.

I think @big duece is correct. Green dash is '28 Chev. I've been lugging one to swap meets for years. People get very excited when they see it, thinking it's '32 Ford. I could have sold it a dozen times if I'd just kept my mouth shut, but I'm not that kind of guy.

 

I was actually thinking about using it and SELLING the 32 dash.

Drum, you haven’t been in the vintage hot rod world for long, have you? That’s a Stewart Warner panel from the 50’s. Used in hundreds of hot rods. Very, very popular.

 

You know me well. This is why I go to the greats in the H.A.M.B. Well I hope this means I am on the right path for my 30 coupe build.

 

Sell both the 32 Ford and Chevy dash, and put that SW gauge panel in a '32 style dash made for model A.
