Love the caps on the 8 coupe…what are they from?

 

This one I saw on another thread on the HAMB.

 

After 52 years of working on this 1929 Model AA I finally got it to the point of driving it for the first time today. 351 Windsor, AOD, rear axle with duallies, the wheels, brakes, emergency brake handle and steering wheel from a 1960 F-350 tow truck, it's got a ways to go before being highway ready. The steering box and brakes need adjustment. It needs an exhaust system, a bed and rear fenders, so plenty to do for the next 52 years.

 

I think this may be the greatest Model A thread ever!
Here's ours, trying to dodge pot holes on narrow backroads.

Ummm, looks great, I think, lol. Went past that quick I couldn't pause it. But that sound and grabbing those gears is awesome. Just how a hot rod should be driven, well done, cheers

 

The paint quality was incredible on that roadster. No telling how many hours were involved in it.

And givin the age of the photo I would bet it was Nitrocellulose Lacquer.

 

It's too bad that on this thread, a lot of people can't find a decent Model A radiator shell and end up with a bulbous, canted, painted, thing that doesn't match the fine lines of a Model A.

 

I like stock grill shells that have been filled, lowered and painted body color!

I bet that thing is a handful! Was the frame lengthened to get that big block in there (I know I've seen them with a stock length frame; but that one appears to be a little roomier) ? Any side pics?
