I have been known to take a bunch of these to events and have them sold for twice what I pay for them before midday. Always remember to not sell the last one 'til after you have had your lunch.......

Hey Curb, Ordinarily I would just grin and smile about your well thought out opinion about a thread about chairs, I totally get your point! BUT, consider this, and this is purely from a helpful informational standpoint from the all knowing, all powerful @Moriarity. If not for his posting about the ZIP DEE chairs, I would have never known about those chairs. And if not for his helpful link about the 3 ZIP DEE chairs for sale on Craigs list, well lets just say, I will be on my way up to Camano Island on Wednesday, to go pick up those 3 chairs at a hell of a good price. So when you consider just how many people have contributed to this thread, I would surmise that the interest in the ZIP DEE chairs alone, was well worth the effort, that Mark put forward, at least in my situation it was! Drove all the way to Ga. for a Hot Rod Revival - forgot to pack a chair. We wound up at a Costco getting supplies for said event; spotted this gem. It's made the rounds and got decorated along the way.

I’m not saying much since my progress on any projects has pretty much halted lately considering how freakin hot it has been.
chairs are for old farts. for what it costs to go to some shows these days I want to see every car so I get my money's worth. comfortable boots with thick socks and a big hat to keep the sun out of my face. I bet I walked 15 hours this 3 day weekend at Goodguys.
It's funny this thread comes up now. I went to pull out my folding camping chairs the other day and mice got in the bag and there wasn't much left of them to sit on.
Maybe it's a pre-1965 mobility scooter.... That would actually be cool, if they even had such a thing. Wouldn't that just be a wheelchair? Off the topic, but we are talking about chairs, so... I had a cousin my age In a wheelchair. MD. At his school, he got treated like a kid in a wheelchair. But every summer he'd come down for a few weeks and hang with me, and I'd have him rolling thru parties with girls piled in his lap, a frozen margarita, and a doobie in his mouth. I told his mom that when he died and she said "No WONDER he always looked forward to that trip!" lmao. Good egg. Never heard him complain or say a negative thing about anyone in his entire life....
At 80 years old I guess I’m one of the old farts sitting in a chair. Despite having some non OEM/Billet ***anium and Cobalt Steel body parts I get around just fine, thank you. Still driving a rather large motorhome, working on three cars, going to many car events, concerts, sporting events, sitting by an open fire with friends, etc. I’m blessed with good health however many are not. This tread was about finding good durable chairs at a reasonable price not judgements of the people that use them. I hope you have continued good health and can walk to your heart’s content for as long as you care to.
Not sure while I can still walk and visit with folks. What’s the point of sitting in a chair vegetating, watching the world go by , power parking by by your ride. Well down under we don’t do that, get out and visit folks while you’re able.

For my swapmeet chair, I prefer a taller "director's chair". I find one of those less awkward to stand up and look someone in the eye. Plus, I can ease back into my seat right away and keep the interaction going without seeming to be dismissing a potential customer.
Is there anything, anything at all, that you do not collect or have multiples of? Anything other than a 10 mm socket?
