I had no idea that Dolly was such a wonderful and giving benefactor. She had donated 300 MILLION (emphasis intentional) books to needy children and gave millions of dollars to other worthy causes. Too bad more of the very wealthy don’t follow her example of giving to smaller causes instead of the arts, sports or universities sitting on huge endowments.
She never did anything trashy, just a cl***y lady. My favorite line from Dolly: ''Honey, it costs a lot of money to look this cheap!''
First saw her appear with Porter Waggoner in the 60’s. Wonderful lady,gr8 person,humble as could be,very personable,a true American icon—-just my opinion,but more “famous” than Elvis. I cried when I heard the news—-RIP DEAR LADY—no one more deserving than her.
While I don't know much about her music (I'm mostly jazz), I enjoyed her acting career, as well as some of her voice acting, and her many charitable causes. Definitely a cl*** act her entire life, always took the high road. We could use more Dolly Parton's in our world.
What can you say about Miss. Dolly that hasn’t already been said. A truly beautiful, wonderful, amazing woman. Her voice was legendary, her music, iconic. RIP Dear Woman.
turned TV on last nite to watch my favourite cop show and guess what came on "9 to 5" sat through till the end I heard at the changing of the guards in Buckingham Place they played 9 to 5 song, she was loved all around the World
A genuine Excellent person there will never be another Dolly. Love her music, love her acting, not Oscar quality but fun always. The only Dolly movie I haven’t seen is “The Best Little *****house”. How I haven’t watched it is a ?. Last night I told my wife I haven’t watched that movie, she looked at me like You’ve got to be kidding me. Dan
