Hot Rods Wide 5 doesn't fit my spindle

Need a little help from the H.A.M.B.E.R.S

I have 2 sets of spindles, one round and one square and I only tried the round as of now and there isn't enough thread for the spindle nut.

 

Are your front hubs from a 36, I believe the 36 spindles is longer.

 

I believe the 1936 wide five drums are the only ones that used a longer spindle.

 

I think the hubs are 36

 

The front drums are 1936 which require the same year spindles, Ford only made them for that year and went back to the previous spindle length in 1937.

Just get some 37/9 front drums and you’ll be set

 

If wish you were close to Rockmart GA. I have a pair of '37-'39 front hubs/drums that need to find a new home. Came off the '38 Ford pickup.

 

How “long” are your drums, ie lay them flat on the floor, drip a tape down the middle and let me know how long they are.
I’ve got to go out back later and will check mine. If mine are “shorter”, you can have them for the UPS ride.
