There're many ACE Hardware stores in Idaho. Like HRP said, they have a huge selection of fasteners. I got most of my interior trim chrome/stainless screws at ACE. Check 'em out!

Gardner Wescott cars a ton of fasteners. HRP

  6. Yes, try Gardner-Wescott. Don't know why I thought of McMaster-Carr and not Gardner-Wescott. I guess because Ralph (RIP) no longer owns it. Ralph was a good friend, he and Bev even celebrated their 39th Anniversity at my place.

As long as it doesn't have to go through the Amazon DC at Troutdale Oregon, (portland) you have a pretty good chance of getting it.

Still unless you just need a **** ton of one size check those little pull out boxes above the bolt bins at ACE and some of the better ones have a good selection of Stainless screws in the bins to boot.
Then there is always McMaster Carr. https://www.mcmaster.com/ They are decent on price but with the stainless screws you do have to buy them by the box but a box of 50 or 100 of theirs might cost less than 20 somewhere else. They also have a lot of cool stuff like mild steel or stainless piano hinges.

If it is for an older Chevy check the filling station. Filling Station Chevrolet & GMC Quality Reproduction Parts They can be a little slow at times on some things that they "just might" actually order in on a stock order before shipping it to you though but if it is for an older Chevy and exists in the after market they most likely show it. Allen's Fasteners has a lot of auto body type fasteners as well as "regular" ones.

AMK has a lot of the correct automotive fasteners. They will send you a big catalog if requested. www.amkproducts.com, 540-662-7820. They might not have everything, but they have alot. It has pictures and dimensions of each item.
Years ago, this Chevy engine guy ***embled this friends Stage V 440 Hemi. He used hardware store silver zinc plated bolts and too big washers on the water pump housing. This engine had a cross ram with 2 Holleys and the Stage V valve covers-it was beautiful except for those ****ed up front bolts and washers. It's nice to use correct bolt or at least good looking bolts:D:D

    Hello,
You must not be an Amazon Prime member. Here is your price according to your posted link:

I continued to look deeper and this is what I found: As a member of Amazon Prime, the price is definitely lower and free shipping:

The cost is definitely lower and it includes free shipping. so, there are some advantages for being a member.YRMV

Over the years we have been with Amazon Prime, we have had plenty of products shipped free and the items are discounted more than if one just orders something from them. Plus, the other advantage is that Prime is one of the best video streaming services on TV and play more movies and shows than some. It is all included in one cost per month or per year, which ever floats your boat.

FleaBay. 1-100 reasonable and most have free shipping. Buy stainless and polish them for the chrome look.

I remember when I used to spend a morning in the local junk yard pulling screws and other fasteners off cars. So I could put something together the next week. Now everything uses plastic clips. I still pull them when I need to. Not many old cars to pull the right kind of screws off of anymore
