Yes, I saw what he wrote, the car does run and drive.
However i would not trust it on a far trip at this time.
I will figure it out. My brother is said he knows someone local that might be able to help.

The guy that built my motor is going to do the re-wire. best person to do it and next Tuesday
it goes to the old school muffler shop to do exhaust, no headers, just some shorty gl*** packs
    and pencil chrome tips.

I will post pics after exhaust is done.

It's not a Swiss watch. It's a car, or pickup.
Every town has shops that work on out of warranty daily drivers. They know how to fix whatever needs fixing, or they know who can provide the service you need.

It sounds like you have a good start by getting the wiring update taken care of.

Well, spent couple of hours trying to get a wiring harness.
These on-line parts places have gotten pretty difficult.
Anyway I need suggestions on where to get, (probably a universal harness)

    Any help is always appreciated.

You might PM Wheeltramp Brian on here. He works primarily on cool old cars. He might not be right around the corner but if he’s too far or not interested, he might know someone in your area.

Want to have some fun? Give it the Arning drop. Klaus Arning was a Ford ch***is engineer. He designed the coil spring 427 Cobra ch***is and also all the ch***is changes for the Shelby GT350 (contrary to popular belief Shelby only did changes that Ford developed and approved - they did test but really didn't do development work on that platform). The unibody under the Falcon and your Rachero (and every pony car) lasted until 1967 when they moved the towers out to accommodate the FE.

I hope you get your issues resolved and enjoy your Ranchero.
I would have bought it several years ago when you had it for sale had it not been all the way across the country.

You should try to swing by the Ventura Nationals at the fairgrounds this Saturday, there will be plenty of local builders/shops representing themselves for you to talk to. And or check out some of the local open house events that will be happening Friday and Sunday.

Good luck with the little rancheroo, I wish my little wagon was that clean.
