Hello! I'm new to the HAMB so I thought I'd let everyone know what I'm all about. I started dating Lucky77 about 6 months ago. We both have a p***ion for old cars. I started going to breakfast with him and a few guys he met on the HAMB (Fab32, FuelPump, Hatch, and DonZi). These guys are great - they really know what they're talking about, and I just love watching them drive away in their old cars. I wish I could have been around to witness all of that muscle and steel in their glory days (not you guys - the cars) I grew up around cars. My father had built a 32 Ford Duce Coupe in the 80's. It was perfect, he had it when I was about 5, so I got to sit on his lap and drive - first car I ever drove (you can't beat that)! It was the 80's and he made it into a street rod, but it's still my favorite model of car. After he sold that, he built a 33 Ford sedan. Which my sister and I always had fun in because he had chopped it so much that we had to sit on the floorboards of the back seat just to see if the light was green. But then, it got sold, just like the other one. Question, why don't parents keep all of the great toys they had when they were young? My dad got into racing after the street rods and bought a Formula Indy (miniature formula indy car with a snowmobile engine). I started racing when I was 17. Won my first and second race when I was 22 (first and only woman in NAMRA ever to win features). Then dad sold the car when I was 24. It is now hanging in some guy's restaurant in Texas. (perfectly good engine, hanging on a freakin wall!!!!!) It would have made the best "sleeper" in my snowmobile. Oh well. So, now I'm an in-house graphic artist for a Fundraising company. I love photography, design, sculpting, and anything that has to do with art. I think I'm outgoing and creative and hopefully I can bring some of my talents to the HAMB and learn a lot from the people who have been here for a while.
Frank, Rich, Donnie, Hatch.... wow, you really have lasted through the gauntlet. Welcome, from one of the Flint guys. -Joe
I think I know you. I might have met you in Birch Run. Do you look like John Travolta? Anyways, thanks! Those guys are great! Actually I'll be joining them for breakfast tomorrow morning to peck their minds for more information. Have a good weekend.
From the best looking GMB (northern division) welcome to the HAMB. I want everyone to know the Lucky part of Lucky77 is this young lady. If the rest of our little group wasn't married it would be Unlucky 77. He wouldn't stand a chance against some real compe***ion. Anyway if any of you get to meet this young lady it will be YOUR pleasure. she can hold her own in a "car" conversation and she's letting Lucky 77 help her build his car so by next summer he and she will be cruising in some very cool transportation. Frank
LOL! Damn Frank, that saying about old age and treatchery trumping youth and viggor is coming to mind. Great, now I can't come to breakfast with you guys unless I'm accompanied by Ms. Lucky. That's okay, maybe she can take my spot when I have to work mornings. We'll see you fellers at P & J's
Nope, thats not me, that is the ever famous "George Travolta", panheadgeorge here on the HAMB. I am the fat guy, that used to have a black '60 Buick. Give everyone my best at breakfast. -Joe
All of the above is true and more. Our breakfasts are a lot more enjoyable with her and what's his name around. Scott said he knew he had a keeper when she showed him her trophy ROOM Now that's cool
To my guys... Thanks - you have all made me feel welcome in your group. I can't think of a better place to be on a Saturday morning then listening to all of you talk about cars and your crazy life experiences. It's really amazing how many people I've only heard about, you have either worked with or still know today. Some of the names I've heard just blow me away! Ed Howe, Randy Sweet, etc... It is definately MY pleasure to know each of you.
To the best looking GMB (northern division), thank you! You can't help being smooth can you.? Lucky77 and I are both lucky. He has me, and I have you guys! And I definately can't wait till next summer to go cruising with you guys in Lucky77's car. (unless by some freak accident I win the lottery and I find a 32 Ford 3-window! - then I'll be drivin myself!)
