Hot Rods 32 to 36 drive shaft coupler

My NOS 32 driveshaft has a 10 spline coupler and the rebuilt 36 rear pinion shaft is a 6 spline. Is there anyone that makes just the 6 spline coupler that so I can machine off the 10 spline and weld on a 6?

 

I thought I remembered someone making a 6 to 10 coupler for sale.

Oops, I remembered that the 32 driveshaft has a coupler built in. SO also sells a 6 spline for you to cut and weld.

 

Hi Gary. You need to find a 6-10 spline coupler. The diameter of the 6-6 coupler is too small to do this. You can remove the 10 spline coupler from your drive shaft tube by carefully cutting the weld. Next, turn down the O.D. of the 10 spline side of the 10-6 coupler (if needed) to fit in the tube. Slip it in to the proper length, then weld to suit.

 

Someone commented that the retainer pin was in a slightly different spot on the 36 6 spline from the 32 pin? Anyone.

 

Just when I need the 6-10 adapter all the Early Ford parts suppliers I checked are out of stock. I'm cursed!
