Looks like they just dragged out something next to it, maybe it will be disinterred now.
I wonder how much there is left of it to salvage.

  18. That would have been a real "looker" in its early years! Hope someone saves it.

  20. Oh that makes me want to puke....

Looks like the rare Sunset Coral and black tutone (springtime color option in 56).

Unless someone painted over colonial white. Either way, damn, wish I could save it!

The Sunset Coral was intro'd in '55 for the T-birds and upper-end Fords. My parents bought a new '55 Sunliner in that Coral over black.

I remember when Ford had some really vibrant color combos in 1955 and 1956.

  28. Nice!

My friend had a flip chart book from FORD that was given to salesman at local dealerships in 56 advertising the "Springtime Colors", offered only until May 1, 1956 or something like that. It had an amazing selection of pastels, some that didn't go away (Meadow Mist Green). He liked the Sunset Coral out of that flipbook so I painted his tutone Coral and Black 56 Crown for him. Loved the color, not typically seen around here anyway!

    Very nice restoration.
Other than my parent's car, don't recall ever seeing another '55-'56 with those colors.
I wish I had a pic of the interior...it was vinyl, white with pink (Coral) inserts.
