Based on what I know of chevy cabs, I would guess 37-38, if it has some wood inside, it may be a late 36, unless the late 36's already did away with the wood....not positive. Hope that helps. H-bob
What are you going to do with "What did I get?" Did you get anything else with it? Where did you get it? Just curious, P.S. Enjoy!
The tank under the seat makes it a 37-38 Chev/GMC not a 36. For 36 the tank is under the bed. I have a 36 Chev. This is called the Lowcab/Lowroof model. A number of doors for it have been recently sold on eBay. If you do not have doors make sure to get all the parts to the door if possible. The small parts when sold individually have been somewhat pricey. BR
Thanks everybody!! This has really been helpful. I got the truck in Big Spring, TX. I couldn't find any doors, so the guy threw in the bed in the background of the pic. So, if anybody has any doors and hardware they are willing to part with, let me know. I plan on fixing the body, small chop, S10 frame maybe. The cab was on a 1.5 ton frame. I don't know what else to put it on...... Let me know what ya'll think. I have a 327 outta a 1966 Caprice. From the reading I've done, that motor has a forged crank.....Might be fun. I also found a complete 39 Plymouth Truck out @ the yard too. I'll post pics of that tomorrow. If anybody has any pic of a truck about this age that they built, please send them!! Thanks again, Kenny
