We need to meet up. I'm always looking to meet another 35-36 pickup guy.

Should we have a HAMB gathering? I've recogonized a lot of HAMB names but hadn't meet them in person.
    Just a thought.....

I agree that is the highlight of the show.....

I’m gonna try to get more involved. I have been a hermit for no damn good reason.

YES...in case you were still wondering. Even if only a couple of us show up, we will make sure we get to say hi to each other. :)

My wife and I are flying back this year, since my 5W is still in paint jail and I've taken the sedan a couple of times already. We are flying into Tulsa Wednesday afternoon and leaving Sunday morning. Looking forward to the event, but it will be a bit odd not having a car there.

This is on my bucket list. I'll be watching out for registration opening for 2027. We'll also be hitting the Speedster Reunion in Nebraska and want to visit the Henry Ford & Gilmore museums again so it may require leaving the truck and trailer at friends to cut down on commute time.

I love it when a plan comes together...... https://www.youtube.com/shorts/9WljIr71Kc0 I was born in Saginaw (left when I was 2). Still have some relatives in Midland. We've been to The Henry Ford and Greenfield Village a couple times when the Shelby Club held their conventions in Dearborn. You need at least 3 days (even on day 5 you'd be seeing new stuff) to do it any kind of justice. I ***ume the Gilmore is the same way if you want to check out all the different marques.

I'm bringing the ol Galaxie again this year. If you don't have lodging, good luck! We booked our Airbnb in December because rooms are hard to come by. The others here have laid out the basic details. DO NOT SKIP the host hotel hang out Friday evening, that's a MAJOR part of the show. Here is my video from last year in case you don't know what the show is all about.

I suspect I will be traveling again in the '31 Vicky, as a group of one....the wife is on the mend so that means she doesn't want me hanging around. @straykatkustoms ...I say yes and maybe just let everyone know where your kar is planted ....I'll be there, no Dinks the night before. Looking forward to seeing all my brothers and safe travels for all regardless if driven or trailered...happy trails

Well, I finally got a room. I am staying at the Hotel Phillips, coming in Thursday, leaving Sunday. Looks like a nice place at a surprisingly low price. Chicks dig me. Life is good.

Hey guys we just canceled reservation for a room at the Bartlesville Holiday Inn. If you're looking for a room they may have one now. We ended up staying somewhere else and don't need it now.

Fortunate to be a member of the "Made them all club" so far. God-willing, I won't miss one going forward. In all my years of old cars (which is my entire life), I've never enjoyed anything more than GATR. Combine the like-minded people with the love for the early Fords, a very laid-back atmosphere, and the most beautiful venue possible for a traditional hot rod gathering...and the result is The Gathering at The ROC. It's nothing short of magical, and as I've said each year, "It's my happy place!"

Many don't attend because their application wasn't approved. That is tragic, because the Reliability Run on Friday is open to everyone. What most don't realize is the Saturday show participants are separated from the attendees by only a yellow tape and perhaps 20' of distance. The fact is we spend a substantial amount of time in the parking lot checking out the attendees cars which sit outside the show. All I can suggest is if you like traditional hot rods and Kustom cars, just go. Participate in the experience...you will not be disappointed!

I take several thousand photos each year at GATR and gladly share them at no charge. Here's are links to video compilations on YouTube if you're interested in seeing more:

If you see an old grey-haired guy behind a camera lens, be sure to say hello! Meeting new friends is the my favorite part about these old cars!

100% agree!! We attended last year for the first time and felt the magic you described!! Hopefully we won't miss another one! We travel 1,200 miles one way to attend and it is worth every mile!! I've tried to get others near me to attend but I think the distance away is a problem. If they would go, I'm sure they wouldn't regret it.

I ran the reliability run in reverse when I attended to 'Roc.
I wanted to visit Pawhuska when it was quiet with plenty of parking.
Going backward allowed us to see every rod as they p***ed in the other direction, rather than the back bumper of one rod.
Yeah, my family thinks I'm weird also.
