Old parts, have to hit each table / sort through. Power tools, hand tools , signs and trinkets. Tires, plenty.
Pontiac convertible…. The guy wanted 10K, runs, drives, old restoration- wavy Bondo that’s showing through in the quarters / rockers
This one kind of grows on you and one that makes you go Hmmmm. Interesting as it’s all there, runs, drives, stops. Odometer shows 65,412 miles I believe is original. Body is solid, old faded black paint. The floors and trunk pretty solid with some crusties here and there but no big holes I could see. Front windshield gl*** has some BB pecks, both drivers/ p***engers side with cracks, but it looks like flat gl*** across the face. It would need the bottom of the gl*** cut to the contours of the windshield frame pocket. The p***enger side door gl*** is cracked, but it’s flat gl*** so no biggy. The only thing mechanical he said was the overdrive wasn’t working, so you could do 50 to 55 instead of 60 to 70 mph. What makes this attractive is it’s all there. The chrome is faded, but you’re not gonna chrome it anyway with the cost of chrome. The interior seats are a little rough in spots, but look just great for a blanket. I know it’s worth what someone’s willing to sell it for and someone’s willing to pay for it. Just curious on what you think it might be worth just as it sits ?
Orphaned makes like this are tough to price. All there, but everything is still 75 years old. All rubber is toast, and does anyone make repro parts to replace them? $2000 would be fair, $2500 if you love Packards? Bodystyle is wonderful, and you could just leave the exterior as-is, but the wiring is going to be dried out and frayed, and does the interior have signs of critter residency? $1500, all over it. $2000, maybe. $2500, I'd have to be a Packard nut to go that much. Still worth saving, just not by me. Did you find anything for you at the swap meet, @corncobcoupe ?
Only thing I bought was a NOS Ford 1 Barrel carburetor I think from the early 60’s that I hopefully can fit on my 6 Cylinder 62 Ranchero.
We always have a good time. I also found a pair of Lincoln door ****ons for $10, ‘48 hubs for use with finned Buick drums for $10, a ‘32 decklid for $150 (has some rust holes), Drake ‘40 door seals for $5, and a pile of NOS in the box Ford rearend bearings for $15. Good prices and stuff we can’t find at most swaps around here.

I had to look and see were Greenfeald Iowa is, I’ve been all around this state but apparently never there. Hope it was a good meet.
I was there on Friday, I, too, spent a minute or two looking at that Packard. I need to finish what I am working on before moving to another project, I don't want to leave too much stuff unfinished if I were to take a dirt nap. I found some 2.5 inch preformed pipes so I can build exhaust for the 1962 Ford unibody I'm working on as well as four stock wheels. My wife spent $150 with the "iron guy" from Mason City for her future projects so we did help out the swap meet economy
Alchemy what did the champion heads set you back? I've got a set on my T roadster , what's your guess on compression ratio?
