Vintage toy trucks and buses

Some Hubley and Structo trucks I have been working on this winter. A friend created a 3D program and made me grilles and gates for the Structo flatbed trucks. I often see these trucks missing the parts. Never found a dealer that reproduced the original grilles, and the gates are not easy to find either. I think he nailed it with his design.

 

A few years ago I had a 1915 Turner Toys Fire Truck. I took it to a toy show and a guy wanted to buy it. (at that time I only took stuff for display) He offered me $700 dollars for it so I agreed to sell it to him. The only stipulation was that I could take it home and make patterns and take measurements off of it first. He agreed to that and picked it up a few days later.

I used the patterns and measurements to make a replica of it. It turned out pretty good so I made a second one that I converted to a pumper truck.

The other pictures are of the pumper truck as I was building it. First picture is the parts after they were cut out, second picture is ***embling the parts, and the third picture is the finished product..... They are 26 inches long so they are pretty good size.
