Hello, This lake is right in the local Los Angeles area. The famous Wilshire Blvd. runs right through the center of the park property. Since our dad worked in Los Angeles and our mom liked shopping on Wilshire Blvd. it was a natural to take the whole family to this lake in the middle of the city. A nice way to have lunch and a family fun tour of a local park with a large lake access. At first, we were allowed in a family boat that did the jaunt across and around the lake. Then on some days, we were in silent electric powered boats that just moved across the water. Our dad drove away from the docks and when we were out in the middle of the lake, my brother was the first to be able to steer the boat by himself. The electric lever controlled how fast the boat would go. So, my brother steered and I controlled the speed. Then we switched and it was fabulous to be able to steer a boat on the water. Our mom just sat in the back sometimes getting wet from the quick turn splashes… ha ! Jnaki The city is trying to connect the two parts of the big park by rerouting Wilshire Blvd. Good luck rerouting the heavy traffic on Wilshire heading East-West…YRMV
